The story of this website, and my obsession with technology, science, books and learning, is long. I feel comfortable saying that if you would like information beyond what I have stated here, I would be happy to tell you more. Just dm me on fb or wa. Especially if I am able to guide someone on their own mission to a dream that seems just too far away.
I am obsessed with technology and science.
I have a Diploma in Network Administration and have started my undergrad Comp Science degree. My practical experience is very diverse. From hardware and software troubleshooting to web development and program development.
Formal training is important but for sure it is not the most important thing. As Technology has evolved, information has become easier and easier to access. When I was young, the lucky families had encyclopedias. Kids that was our Google. Beyond that, the only way to study new interesting topics was the library. And them old librarians were real ball busters! With the first computers in homes, came large books to learn how to use them. There was no Microsoft Windows back then. We needed Mr. David Plumber and his fantastically genius peers to tackle that problem. Ill put a link to his YT channel in the links page. You really should check him out. He is literally an autistic millionaire. There is a significant percentage of people who do not have formal training or years of schooling, that have influenced and innovated in the field. They are ultimately driven and motivated. That is what is the most important.
With the massive advancements of hardware performance, capacity and communication technology, we now have an entire world of information in our pockets. Such a thing could never have been imagined when I was a child. It is my parents and their parents that created the base for the technology that I shamelessly take advantage of on an hourly basis.
It is my drive to learn things that prompted me to learn everything I could about computer science, computing devices and networking innovations. It has made a nice path for me to follow and that is how I started.
We got our first home computer in the early 90's and my obsession started there. My interest in cybersecurity developed over time while repairing, building, experimenting and studying what these things were and what could they do.
I don't like taking the easy way out. And right vs wrong has flashed like a beacon throughout my life. I don't like people who steal from others in an effort to posses unnecessary and undeserved objects. Naturally I have gravitated towards the security field in an effort to help protect people, their belongings and information.
One goal in this business is to use its success to develop products and procedures to help everyone be safe online.
